Intro 소개
월드미션대학교 소그룹 사역센터에서는 7월 9일 저녁 7-9시에 한국의 소그룹 목회 연구원 대표이고 서현교회 담임이신 이상화 목사님을 모시고 “건강한 교회 성장을 위한 역동적인 소그룹 사역 어떻게 할것인가?”라는 제목으로 특별 세미나를 Zoom에서 갖는다.
The Small Group Ministry Center at World Mission University will be hosting a special seminar on July 9th (Tuesday), from 7:00 to 9:00 PM, featuring Rev. Sanghwa Lee, Senior Pastor of Seohyeon Church and Director of the Korea Small Group Ministry Research Institute. The seminar is titled:
“How Can We Lead a Dynamic Small Group Ministry for Healthy Church Growth?”

이상화 목사는 총신대학교(B.A., M.Div., Th.M., Ph.D.과정수료)와 웨스트민스터신학대학원 대학교(Ph.D.)에서 공부했다. 2007년 웨스트민스터신학대학원대학교에 설립돤 소그룹목회학학위과정(M.A. Th.M.) 프로그램 코디테이터로 설립과정부터 참여하여 긴 시간 교수로 섬겼고, 총신대학교 목회신학전문대학원에서 교수를 역임했다. 한국기독교목회자협의회와 (사)교회갱신협의회 사무총장으로 교회연합 현장을 경험했고, 드림의교회 개척목회를 7년간 했다. 그리고 2017년부터 아름다운 사역의 전승이 있는 서현교회 담임목사로 섬기고 있다. <월간 크리스채너티투데이 한국판> 초대 편집인을 역임했고 FEBC극동방송 <교계 전망대> 진행자로 다년간 방송사역을 감당했다. 1994년부터 ‘건강한 소그룹, 건강한 교회’를 모토로 설립된 한국소그룹목회연구원 대표로 소그룹 목회사역 컨텐츠를 개발하는 사역을 꾸준히 해오면서 소그룹목회와 사역관련 저서와 신학 및 목회도서들을 출간했다.
Rev. Sanghwa Lee studied at Chongshin University (B.A., M.Div., Th.M., completed Ph.D. coursework) and Westminster Graduate School of Theology (Ph.D.). He was involved from the inception of the Small Group Ministry degree programs (M.A., Th.M.) at Westminster in 2007, serving as a coordinator and professor for many years. He also taught at the Graduate School of Practical Theology at Chongshin University. Rev. Lee served as General Secretary of both the Korean Association of Christian Pastors and the Church Renewal Association, gaining firsthand experience in church unity and leadership. He also planted and pastored Dream Church for seven years before being called in 2017 to lead Seohyeon Church, a congregation known for its beautiful legacy of ministry. In addition to his pastoral and academic work, Rev. Lee served as the founding editor of Christianity Today Korea and was a long-time broadcaster on FEBC’s Church Perspective. Since 1994, he has led the Korea Small Group Ministry Research Institute, promoting the vision of “Healthy Small Groups, Healthy Churches.” Through this work, he has developed extensive content and resources for small group ministry and authored numerous theological and pastoral books.

소그룹목회와 사역관련 저서로는 「건강한 교회성장을 위한 소그룹리더십」 「건강한 소그룹사역 어떻게 할 것인가」 「아이스브레이크 모음집」 등이 있다. 특별히 출간된 책들 외에 연구원에서는 교회 소그룹사역 현장에서 현장목회자들이 매 주일 만 10년이상 지속적으로 교과과정을 짜서 소그룹 인도자들이 역동적으로 소그룹 인도를 할 수 있도록 ‘열린질문’으로 집필된 <온라인 소그룹 성경공부 교재 시리즈>가 있다. (www.smallgroup.co.kr에서 참조) 이외에도 「한 권으로 배우는 기독교교리」 「청년들이 교회를 떠나는 33가지 이유」 「교회 성숙 분석 리포트」 「떠나고 싶지않은 교회 매력포인트24」 「아는 만큼 깊어지는 기도」 「대표기도, 이렇게 준비하라」 「2028 한국교회 출구전략」 「매일 10시 한마음 기도노트」 「다시 십자가 앞에」 등 다수가 있다. 그리고 매일묵상과 주중 가정예배, 그리고 매주 역동적인 소그룹진행이 가능한 성경공부 교재가 포함되어 있는 정기간행물인 「찐QT」를 격월간으로 발행하고 있다. 목회데이터연구소가 발간한 「한국교회트렌드2024」의 ‘처치 인 처치 (Church in Church)’ 영역 및 「한국교회 진단 리포트」 ‘친교영역’의 집필자이기도 하다.

He also publishes a bi-monthly devotional magazine, “Jjin QT”, which includes daily devotionals, weekday family worship materials, and weekly small group Bible studies.
Rev. Lee also contributed to Korean Church Trends 2024 (published by the Korean Pastoral Data Institute), authoring the “Church in Church” section, and contributed to Korean Church Diagnosis Report in the “Fellowship” section.
