Purpose 목적

오늘날 기독교회는 안과 밖으로 여러가지 변화와 도전에 직면해 있다. 코비드를 지나면서 교회 회중이 많이 약해졌고 조금씩 회복하고 있다. 그러나 코비드는 우리 삶을 살아가는 방식을 여러면에서 흔들어 놓았다. 교회 회중이 다시 활력을 회복하기 위하여 중요한 사역 중에 하나는 소그룹 사역이다. 기독교 교회 역사를 보면 회중 속에는 여러가지 모습으로 소그룹이 존재해 왔다. 신학과 시대상의 변화에 따라서 다양한 목적과 방식으로 소그룹은 존재해 왔고 지금도 많은 교회 속에서 소그룹 사역이 진행되고 있다. 그리고 어찌보면 지금은 소그룹 사역이 가장
중요하면서도 동시에 가장 큰 도전을 맞이하고 있다. 이런 시대를 맞이하여 소그룹 사역의 가장 기본적인 것들부터 점검하고 세워나가는 것이 필요할 것이다.

 

Today, the Christian church faces various changes and challenges both internally and externally. Following the COVID pandemic, church congregations have significantly weakened but are gradually recovering. However, COVID has disrupted many aspects of how we live our lives. One of the key ministries to revitalize church congregations is small group ministry. Looking at the history of the Christian church, small groups have existed in various forms within congregations. Depending on changes in theology and the context of the times, small groups have served diverse purposes and methods, and even today, many churches continue to engage in small group ministry. In a sense, small group ministry is currently facing its most important and simultaneously most challenging period. In such a time, it is necessary to reevaluate and rebuild the foundational aspects of small group ministry.

Goal 목표

이 프로그램은 다음과 같은 점을 이루는 것을 목표로 한다.

  1. 성서: 성서 속에 나타난 교회 공동체의 의미와 중요성 그리고 특별히 소그룹 사역의
    모습과 원리들을 살펴본다.
  1. 역사: 기독교 교회 역사 속에서 존재하였던 소그룹의 역사를 살펴본다.
  1. 컨텍스트: 코비드 이후 시대에 교회 소그룹이 나아가야 할 방향을 살펴본다:
  1. 문화: 한인 이민 교회의 소그룹의 모습과 특징을 살펴본다.
  1. 사례 연구: 소그룹 사역을 잘하고 있는 교회의 사례 연구를 한다.
  1. 지도자 훈련: 소그룹 사역자들의 소그룹 지도자의 필요한 기능들에 대하여 살펴본다.
  1. 사역 철학 개발: 소그룹 사역의 사역 철학을 개발한다.

 

This program aims to achieve the following objectives:

  1. Scripture: Examine the meaning and importance of church communities as presented in the Bible, focusing particularly on the principles and practices of small group ministry.
  2. History: Explore the history of small groups within the Christian church throughout its history.
  3. Context: Investigate the direction that church small groups should take in the post-COVID era.
  4. Culture: Analyze the characteristics and unique aspects of small groups within Korean immigrant churches.
  5. Case Studies: Conduct case studies of churches excelling in small group ministry.
  6. Leader Training: Review the essential skills required for small group leaders and ministers.
  7. Ministry Philosophy Development: Develop a philosophy of ministry specifically for small group work.

Writing Guidline
집필 가이드 라인

이 연구 소논문들은 학문성을 담보할 뿐만 아니라 실천성도 있어야 한다.

워드 문서를 사용하되 (한글 문서는 사용하지 않는다), 본문의 글자 크기는 한글 11 포인트, 영어 12 포인트를 사용하며, 블록 인용문의 글자 크기는 한글은 10 포인트, 영문은 11 포인트로 한다. 각주의 글자 크기는 9 포인트를 사용한다. 글자 간격은 1.15 로 한다.

글씨체는 한글은 바탕체를, 영어는 Times New Roman을 사용한다.

각주와 참고문헌은 시카고 스타일을 따른다.

영문 abstract 이 포함되어야 한다.

원고 분량

  • 워드문서 레터 사이즈:  25페이지 분량 (Word 사용)
  • 논문의 전반부는 해당 주제에 대한 학문적 연구를 하고 (15 페이지 분량),
  • 후반부는 전반부에서 연구한 결과를 교회 소그룹 사역 속에서 실제적으로 적용할
    수 있는 내용을 제안한다 (10페이지 분량). 
  • 표지, 목차, 참고문헌은 기본 페이지에 포함되지 않는다.

 

  • Balance of Academic Rigor and Practicality:

    • Papers must ensure both academic rigor and practical application.

  • Formatting Requirements:

    • Use Microsoft Word (Korean Word Processor “HWP” is not allowed).
    • Text font sizes:
      • Main text: Korean 11 pt, English 12 pt.
      • Block quotations: Korean 10 pt, English 11 pt.
      • Footnotes: 9 pt.
    • Line spacing: 1.15.
    • Fonts:
      • Korean: 바탕체 (Batang).
      • English: Times New Roman.

  • Citation and References:

    • Footnotes and bibliography must follow the Chicago Style.
    • Include an English abstract in the manuscript.

  • Paper Length:

    • Letter Size Word Document: 25 pages (excluding cover page, table of contents, and references).
    • Structure:
      • The first half (15 pages): Academic research on the chosen topic.
      • The second half (10 pages): Practical suggestions for applying the research findings in small group ministry within the church.

WMU 소그룹 사역 컨퍼런스에서 발표한다. 2025 년도 LA Conference

학교가 주선한 방송 인터뷰에 협조한다.

연구 논문을 소개하는 30분 분량의 동영상을 제작한다. (WMU Template에 맞추어서
준비한다)

 

  • Present the paper at the WMU Small Group Ministry Conference (2025 LA Conference).
  • Participate in a broadcast interview arranged by the school.
  • Produce a 30-minute video introducing the research paper (prepared according to the WMU template).

Compensation 사례

$1,500 (소논문 + 컨퍼런스 강사)
